Blake Friedman

Tenor Blake Friedman has been praised by The New York Times for the “plummy fullness and dusky hue” of his voice and recognized by the Chicago Reader for his versatility. He has performed leading roles with companies including Dallas Opera, Chicago Opera Theater, Chautauqua Opera, and Anchorage Opera, and appears as a concert soloist with ensembles such as New York City Ballet and the New York Oratorio Society at Carnegie Hall. A passionate advocate for new music, he has workshopped and premiered contemporary works through American Opera Projects, NYU, and Juilliard, and holds degrees from Eastman and Manhattan School of Music.
